Been awhile since I updated. I suppose one must keep you people entertained.
My co-worker told me a really funny story with an elderly customer yesterday. It went something like this:
"What channel is the football game on?"
"Channel 19, go ahead and press 19 on your remote control now."
"Okay. "
*Co-worker hears phone tone for 1 and 9 go on his headset*
".... Ma'am, on your tv remote control."
"Huuuh? Okay."
*Presses 1 9 on the phone again*
"MA'AM, NOT THE PHONE, THE REMOTE CONTROL. YOU'RE USING THE WRONG DEVICE."
"Uhhh, okay."
*continues for 3 more times*
Hahahaha. Man that is good.
So today, I had 4 calls that lasted an hr each. I can recall them all:
1) Chinese SS installation call. Holy, that took a long time. And it's the first time in like 3 months I've had a SS install too. Haw.
Trying to teach a chinese customer how to copy and paste is the dumbest thing I've ever tried. Tried for half an hour and eventually gave up. God why does our subscription code have to be so complicated for our customers?! I don't understand how hard it is to copy down a key right and then paste it in... but whatever.
2) Follow up call sent to me by a supervisor. Customer had one outlet not working. Strata blames us, we blame strata. Hmm.
They've been handing me more and more follow-ups lately. I guess it's cause I do such a thorough job for each one. Oh well, that's the one thing I don't mind since I'm allowed to go into break 7 to make it. Plus when you're the one calling the customer, they're less prone to tear the skin off you versus if they call us. Usually, the people who know how to send us emails are more technically apt than the people who phone anyways.
3) Triple play bundle signing up :D! My first phone work order ever. That's awesome. Mmm, the guy wanted to sign up for cable/internet/phone. It took me an hour, but man I made like 22 bucks commission on that call. On top of that, he accepted e-bill as well haha.
4) Persistent chinese customer who WOULD NOT let me off the phone unless I did an overbook for him for a service call. Holy cow. Then again, I wouldn't have even considered it if it hadn't been for his TV screwing up further after some suggestions from one of our TSRs. Wasn't the TSR's fault (surprise surprise). Bad stuff can happen when one tries to help bah. You can't really say much to that either to make the customer feel better. In the background, his wife was like screaming to her friend about how bad we were hahaha.
So yeah, only 19 calls today. Man. That's kind of depressing. At the same time, I really don't know how some of our reps get 40+ calls a day. It's insane. I don't slack off THAT much, unlike some TSR 2's *cough*. No names mentioned of course.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
