For crying out loud.

I have been forever maimed. A SDP customer called in today and couldn't connect to VOD. Typical troubleshooting is done, that is, tell the customer to bypass the splitter. Unbeknownst to us, the line on the other splitter is going to the DPT. So when he disconnects the splitter, he also disconnects the DPT, which results in the termination of our conversation.

Of course, I realize this, and I start panicking. The customer has no other alt numbers listed on his account, and the DPT is offline. When it comes back online, it still won't ring through. Oboy.

Why am I forever maimed you may ask? Well, I'm not really. It used to happen when I was on the internet queue, when we told customers to pull the power on their router and they were using VOIP. I'm just a drama ho. But I suppose that's better than being a cheap ho. *coughs* :P

I doubt anything interesting will come up today. Thus I close off this blog now.

Ps. hm, if I don't get into BCIT in September for whatever retarded reason BCIT will give me, my consolation gift to me will be a brand new HDTV/PVR. I promise.
