New Year's huh?

Actually my shift was okay. Haven't had such great stats since 4 shifts ago. Oh yes, that feels like a long time after much much much frustration. I hate stats by the way.

Oh and if I dropped a bad cantonese SDP call on anyone >.> sorry. Not my fucking fault the MTA sucks shit and takes at least 10 minutes to come up. I gotta go home man.

There were a couple sweet cantonese speaking elderly people I was talking to this evening. Technically inept truly, but so cute I just can't get impatient with them. Starts off with all the Chinese new year blessings that I have no idea what they mean so I'm just like uhuh uhuh thank you thank you. One lady was like aww you poor girl, you're working on New Year's? You should come over to my apartment later after work and I'll treat you to some coffee. That is such a sweetheart. And this other elderly gentleman was inviting me to this event thing with free food.

...Actually I'm not sure if my seeming pathetic-ness carries over the phone since people have a tendency to feed me. *shrug*

Anyways, that was really nice and sort of made my day. Doesn't take much I suppose. Elderly customers, for the most part, are much nicer and more patient. I don't understand how people can get so impatient and angry with these sweethearts. Unless they're bitchy old ladies. But that is another story.

AH/A25. Today it was my best friend. 46 calls in 8 1/2 hours. And practically 3 minute ready time in between each call. Yes, I have a feeling my stats are looking alot better even though everything ranging from modem tools to oasis was down.

Can you believe one of my co-workers refused to work just because of our tools being down, and walked off his shift just before starting? Crazy. P.S. It was the same guy who wrote the poem.

And another crazy ass thing. A new recruit came into work ON HIS DAY OFF to 'practice' even though he's not even on the phones yet. Naturally, being the nice person I was, I helped him but man... crazy... that's dedication. Wild horses couldn't drag me to work on my day off. He's a mandarin speaker. Yes! More mandarin speakers please. Perhaps this company heard our cries for more China gate members and are actually hiring more chinese speakers. *gasp*

Happy New Year's guys.
